Twist-Tack Selection is based upon the part that is going to be fastened (attachment) and the material that it is going to be fastened to (base material).

Attachment
Typical attachments that do not require predrilled holes are sheet plastic, thin aluminum, impact resistant fiberglass, Velcro®, neoprene tubing caps, etc.

Base Material
Twist-Tacks will fasten to cast aluminum extrusions or thin steel tubing. Thicker ferrous materials may require a predrilled hole or another Amtak fastener.

Twist-Tack Material and Plating
Standard Twist-Tacks are manufactured from carbon steel and are either bright zinc plated or zinc plated with a dyed black finish. Both will pass a minimum of 120 hour salt spray test in accordance with ASTM B117.

Special Fasteners
Twist-Tacks may be manufactured from different materials in a wide variety of sizes to meet particular assembly requirements. Call us for details.
